| AA-USA utilizes powerful academic software and online course-work to maximize our academics. Our students have access to laptop computers, online teacher assistance and tutoring, and benefit from our partnership with Alpha Omega, the leading Christian, accredited distance education provider. Our partnership with Alpha Omega allows our students the benefit of state of the art curriculum and support, without sacrificing the scope of our adventure programming. Your teen gets the best of both worlds! While at our base campus, our academic director enlists local tutors; elective offerings from gifted artisans, speakers, and teachers; and each teen prepares a portfolio of their semester. Our Portfolio requirement is designed to highlight the work that each teen participates in while at AA-USA. It illustrates the leadership opportunities, cultural and historical experiential learning, group dynamics, logistical skills, time management, elective course-work, and other disciplines that your teen will have co-designed and undertaken. The portfolio will stand as a powerful reminder to your teen of just how awesome their time at AA-USA has been, and will help them to stand out in their college admissions process. |
